Rebuilt the kernel port  (12th of August) for the new CM6 RC2 and nightly builds (you can use on both of them) froyo release from cyanogen team using custom lowmemorykiller values as I did for CM5.x. This setting reduce memory usage and let the system to be more responsive.

To install CM6 port on your 32A follow the steps in cyanogenmod forum, then flash the port zip file

Pls remember that this is a release candidate / nightly build so there are bugs on it.
If you need a bug-free rom, don’t install it!!!

So yesterday (23 Jun) Google celabrates Android and annonuced finally that Froyo (Android 2.2 codename) is Open Source and available here

This is a good news for the whole community and Cyanogen announced that CM6 is underway and will targets Nexus One, Droid, Dream, Magic, Desire, Evo, Slide and HeroC

UPDATE: trying to build from google source for 32A…

New port of CM 5.0.8 for 32A devices /w 2.6.34 kernel.
You can flash (in recovery mode) on top of CM 5.0.8  install, remember to do a NANDROID BACKUP before.

This port overclock the kernel to 576MHz and 122MHz and you don’t need the SetCPU program to set kernel frequencies (this is done via ramdisk and init.d script); I use custom low memory killer settings too to save memory so the system is more responsive.

If you come from other roms or different version and want to install this port, follow these steps

• first of all do a NANDROID backup
• WIPE everything (data/factory reset, dalvik, battery, rotate)
• flash CM 5.0.8 zip file
• flash Google apps (optional but strongly suggested)
• flash the kernel port for 32A devices
• reboot

You can install the addon pack for CyanogenMOD v1.2

I just update 32A (sapphire/magic) port of 2.6.34 OC kernel both for SuperE 1.0.2 and CyanogenMod 5.0.8-t4

This 32A port is built using kernel 2.6.34 with Pershoot OC&UVpatchset.
